AJ’S SUCCESS STORY

AJ has been in the youth program consistently for a few years. He has participated in social-emotional learning groups and worked hard to learn more about his own emotions. He recently took a big step in his social-emotional learning journey by choosing an activity that would not trigger his negative emotions. Instead of participating in a competitive game of dodgeball, AJ decided to complete an art project. AJ was able to verbalize that he was having a tough day, and he thought the art project would help him cope with his feelings. We are so proud of AJ’s progress and so happy that he is a part of the MRNC youth program!
