Career & Computer Training for Serious Job Seekers!


Spots are available for Career & Computer Training Classess starting June 14.


 

Classes are held for ten weeks, Monday through Thursday from either 1-4:30 pm or from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center's Computer & Career Training course teaches basic computer skills that will help you find a new job or make more money at the one you already have. You will also benefit from financial and career coaching.

 

 

Topics covered include:

  • Basic computer literacy--keyboarding, Microsoft Word & Excel, internet, and e-mailing
  • Networking tips to help you talk confidently about your skills
  • Resumes and cover letters
  • Interview practice and clothing opportunities
  • Personal employment coaching and financial coaching
  • Incentives to keep your motivation going for as long as it takes to get that job offer!

 

Participants must commit to the full ten weeks. Assistance with transportation and child/adult care may be available.

*Please note: Minimum requirement for class is HS Diploma or near completion of GED. GED classes are offered at Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center and at Goodwin Community Center.
