Before and After School Program

Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center's before and after school program provides a stimulating, structured, drug-free, safe environment for children to attend during before and after school hours. We provide homework assistance while offering children a chance to interact positively with others under the close supervision of a qualified staff, as well as AmeriCorps members from the local community and colleges.


Activities Include:

  • Arts and crafts 
  • After school snack program
  • Fun and educational games
  • Supervised recreation
  • Service projects 
  • Academic enrichment activities 
  • Field trips


  • Preschool Program

    Preschool classes provide educational, social and physical learning experiences for children who are 3, 4, and 5 years old.

    Preschool schedule:

    M, W, F: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (older 4 yr olds & 5)
    T, Th:  9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (3 yr olds)
    T, Th: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.  (4 yr olds)


    Summer Day Camp

    Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center offers summer day camp programs at several sites in Indianapolis.  Sites include Seerley Creek Christian Church, Goodwin Center, and Mary Rigg Center. 

    This program provides safe, fun activities in a nurturing environment for youth ages 5-14.

    Open 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    Eleven weeks in length from June through August.

    Daily activities include reading, swimming, recreation, art and crafts, field trips, guest speakers and special projects.

    Enrollment offered at several sites.
