THIS WEEK'S TIP: Holiday Shopping
With the holiday season in full swing, it's easy to overspend when shopping for others. Here are a few holiday shopping tips that can help your family save money...and time!
-Plan your trip ahead of time...avoid impulse buying by making a list of stores to visit and gifts to buy
-Save on gas by shopping on-line. Many retailers this season are offering free shipping and it isn't too late to purchase on-line and have your gifts delivered by December 24th!
-Avoid throw-away gifts. Try to buy gifts that can be eaten, worn, or are educational!
-If you can't afford gifts this holiday season, give your time and skills. Consider volunteering at a soup kitchen, community center (like Mary Rigg!), or even offer to babysit for another family as a gift.
REMEMBER: creating a budget to guide your holiday shopping will help reduce stress and save money. Click here to read more about establishing a budget
