Get Ahead. Get GED-Ready.

If you want to pass the General Education Development (GED) test, we can help. We don't turn anyone away. For people who need to start with more basic math and reading skills, we offer Adult Basic Education Classes (ABE).

Lift off with literacy.
The ability to read is the most empowering and fundamentally important skill a person can possess. And it's essential if you're trying to pass the GED. Through our unique partnership with Indy Reads, MRNC provide adults of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to learn to read in one-on-one and small group settings.

Is GED worth it?

  • There are a number of reasons you should consider GED if you didn't finish high school. Here are just a few:
  • GED graduates earn about $2,000 more per year than high school drop-outs.
  • After completing GED, you're more likely to receive additional training that leads to a better-paying job.
  • Roughly half of all GED graduates attend two or four-year college.
  • On average, GED graduates perform as well as high school graduates in 2- and 4-year colleges.
  • GED graduation indicates a level of learning widely viewed as essential to social and economic advancement.

GED prep classes are held at Mary Rigg Neighborhood Center.
